Packets include: map of Penn State, directions to courts 26-27-28-29, tournament rules, and one score keeper band per team.
#3 . All players must attend the 1:00 MANDATROY NCAA LECTURE-entering at 12:00 on through door # 2, WE ARE MEETING at 12:30  at DOOR #2 this is where players will receive their lanyard, which will be their entrance to all buildings.

BE at all games 30 min before  Stretched and dressed ready to take the court

Blue Chip Basketball USA Invitational at Penn State
All coaches and assistant coaches can pick up their NCAA approved coaches bands in the Bryce Jordan Annex (Door #2) July 5th beginning at 9:00 am to 12:00
You must have a license as a form of identification and if you have just received your NCAA approval number please bring a copy of the email with you. Only coaches present will be given the band.
If you have just received your NCAA approval number please bring your email with it, we may have pulled the NCAA Team roster before you added it on.
Your will receive a copy of the roster you have entered on the NCAA website you will be asked to cross off any player or coach or asst. coach that will not be attending and return it to the Blue Chip Staff right away.
All players must attend Mandatory NCAA Lecture 1:00 Bryce Jordan Arena-
Door will be open to all players at 12:00 All players will enter through (door #2) to go directly to the arena to here the announcements and watch the video.
All players that attend will receive a lanyard with a NCAA approved card.
All players must wear their lanyard to get into any of buildings and must have watched the video in order to play.
Parents and fans- may buy their admission bands July 5th starting at 10:00 am till 1:00 pm at the top of the Bryce Jordan Arena across from the parking lot Gate C.
Band must be worn on wrist at all times. Bands will be sold at each venue.
Since this is a certified event Parents and Fans are not allowed to talk or sit with college coaches.
Games will begin at 2:00. This is a bracket forum and your next game will be determined by win or loss.

NextPlay.com and Blue Chip Basketball will be working together to help high school basketball players get maximum exposure.
NextPlay.com will be filming the USA Invitational at Penn State on July 5 and July 6.
NextPlay.com is a basketball-focused online showcase that allows users to view and edit their game films online, create highlights, and share their games and highlights. On NextPlay.com, every player, coach, and fan can discover a new way to interact with Blue Chip Basketball Tournaments:
• Players relive their best games and create highlight reels on NextPlay.com to share with college coaches, friends and family.
• College coaches from around the country will now be able to watch the USA Invitational Tournament at Penn State directly from their desktop. With the click of a mouse they can watch the tournament games and search through video profiles of recruits that match the specific needs of their program.
• Parents, relatives, and fans can now follow the action of the tournament and watch their favorite player in full game action or from a players tournament highlights.
Once the games are online, every player will receive an e-mail with directions to accessing their tournament games. It is free for all participating members to access their games, create a profile, build a video library, and create highlights to share with coaches, family and friends.
For the players that are serious about being recruited, they will have the option to subscribe to NextPlay’s recruiting package ($49). This feature will give the player the opportunity to connect with college coaches from all over the country. Finally college coaches will be able to do their recruiting from their desk and players will be able to keep track of the schools that have shown them interest.

TOURNAMENT RULES
  1. HOME TEAM:
    1. Listed first and sits to the right of the score table.
    2. Wears light colored uniform.
  2. GAME TIME:
    1. Two sixteen-minute (16:00) stop-time halves.  Clock stops on every whistle.
    2. HALF TIME: Three minutes (3:00)
    3. TIMEOUTS:  Two full (1:00) and one thirty-second (.30) time outs for the entire game.  In the overtime periods, there will be one full (1:00) time out allowed.    Time-outs Do Not Carry Over from regulation; this includes twenty second time-outs
    4. OVERTIME:  1st overtime = three minutes (3:00) 2nd overtime = two minutes (2:00) all others = one minute (1:00).
    5. MERCY RULE:  Clock will not stop in the last 4 minutes of 2nd half if one team has a  20+ point lead
  3. GAME RULES: NCAA Women’s Rules EXCEPT:
    1. No Shot Clock (10 second back court rule applies).
    2. 5-second closely guarded on held ball and dribble.
    3. One and one foul shots begin on the 10th foul. No double bonus shots will be awarded at any time.
    4. Players will Foul-Out after their 6th foul!!!
  4. Each team is required to have a designated person to sit at the scorer’s table to keep your own scorebook. There will be a third person at the table from the tournament to moderate.
  5. EACH TEAM MUST CLEAN THEIR BENCzH AREA AFTER EACH OF THEIR GAME.
  6. There will be a trainer on duty throughout the tournament. The trainer is not there to tape ankles. This should be done by the team coach or by the parent of the player. If it is impossible for you to have a player taped in advance, please bring your own tape and our trainer will try to assist you.
  7. There will be a concession stand available during the entire tournament.
  8. Please be on time for your games. We will allow you a 15-minute grace period from the scheduled start of your game. If you are later than 15 minutes, a forfeit may be declared.
